What is a stage weight?
A stage weight is a heavy steel plate used to balance or anchor things in a theater or event space. In a counterweight fly system, stage weights (also called arbor weights) are stacked in an arbor to balance the scenery, lights or drapes hanging on a batten, so a single operator can fly them in and out by hand.
What sizes of stage weights do you carry?
We stock stage weights from 17 lb up to 64 lb and everything in between, with thousands of pieces on hand and ready to ship. If you're not sure what size your arbor takes, send us the measurements of one of your existing weights and we'll match it.
Can you match the weights already in my arbor?
Usually, yes. We carry a large selection of vintage and hard-to-find weights, including Grosh Studios weights, and our fabrication shop can custom-build any stage or event counterweight we don't have in stock.
